<snip> In the course of verifying cross-references in the PDF, I noticed that cross-references to text with the paragraph tag Number1 did not work in > the > PDF, even though they work in the FrameMaker source document. All other > cross-references are to paragraph tags such as ChapterTitle, Heading1, and > Heading2. Any thoughts/suggestions/jeers ?:)
Thank you, Shlomo, for the information. I will see how it works next week. Many years ago, we were instructed not to use Named Destinations because it caused file size bloat and other technical issues. This must no longer be true, especially since you and one or two other 'listers' have suggested always using it. Donna, to answer your questions: (1) The cross-references were not in a text inset. Thanks to you and a few others, I got rid of all the text insets when I broke the book into Heading1/Heading2 topics. (2) The paragraphs tagged with Number 1 exist in all the PDFs; they are not conditionalized. Happy Friday, one and all.
