Does anyone out there use the professional networking web site called
LinkedIn? I've gotten back in touch with several people who I knew in
college or who were coworkers years ago. I doubt that I would have made
contact with them without LinkedIn.

I have a few of my fellow tech writers in my list of contacts, but I
would like to add more.* If you're already signed up and are interested
in connecting to my network, either send me an invitation (use
DLJones3423 -at- Yahoo dot com), or let me know off-list, and I'll send
you one. If you aren't signed up and are interested in joining, again
let me know off-list, and I can send you an invitation, which makes
signing up easy.

* Technically, you're supposed to know each contact person personally.
But based on the number people I've seen who have thousands of contacts
each and the number of invitations I get from recruiters and others who
I don't know, I don't think it works that way. I only know of one person
who replied to someone who I know with, "I'm sorry, but I don't know you
well enough to add you to my network."

Happy Friday!
