I was the "other" one at work with Donna who couldn't get on. And, like others
here on the list, I was FORCED to use I.E. for it (when Firefox is my main
browser). IE had recently installed the upgrade to the new version, and
apparently that didn't play nice with LiveMeeting.

 Go figure -- a Micro$oft product that doesn't work with another Micro$soft
product.

I initially tried the "web" version of the conference, but when that wouldn't
work, the presenter said to go try the "console" version, which had been an
option when I started. Well, no surprise, I could no longer get to the console
version -- the original link I had used automatically put me in the web
version, which had no audio. I must have tried 20 times to get to the console
version.

What's really weird is that Donna had the Audio panel (but still no sound),
but couldn't ask questions. I could ask questions, but didn't have the Audio
panel available.

Honestly, I was so disgusted by the entire process, I could care less what
Vasont or anyone else dealing through them has to say at this point. They
offered NO help, are not making the webinar available later. If they can't
provide something as relatively simple as a webinar without major technical
problems, how the heck could they expect me to look at their CMS offerings?

And back to being forced to use I.E.... THAT really makes me angry. Once
again, Micro$oft uses NON-STANDARD web programming on its sites. They refuse
to conform to the W3C standards, which would allow the content to display on
any W3C-compliant browser. Apparently they're SPECIAL.

Hmm... I sound a bit angry here. Well, Micro$oft will do that to me. That,
and spending three days home with sick kids! (One of them has the flu *and*
walking pneumonia... fun, fun!)
