That's one option to entertain. Another is to network online. I've been doing this (online networking) for about 11 years now, and I use what conferences and events I *can* attend to finally get to meet the people whom I now know so much about. ;-) Heck, With some people, I've known how their kids were doing in school and how the home repairs of theirs were going before I ever shook their hands.
