...I have used a bag-less DirtDevil upright for two years now: It is convenient to not have bags, but the filter clogs up pretty fast so I have to clean that out more often than I would have to change a bag...I take it off the top of the canister and tap it on the sidewalk (it looks like a small car air filter...)
I do not have kids or pets, so really it gets pretty light use, but I'm starting to wonder if I might be happier with something I don't have to tap the filter out on - it can get messy and it's a PIA... --Michael T.
