I have no problem with iPrint upgrades, my teachers usually ignore the button. There is a file that you can use in iPrint that will make the upgrade silent so they don't know anything happened. It should be the NIPP-s. So far I have not seen a difference if the client is older or newer except for Win7 and Vista machines which must have the newer stuff. iPrint, from what I have seen, doesn't care if the user is logging into Novell to use the iPrint structure, but then I am not using SLES 10 yet. How does your log on work? Do you have a local account that the user goes into on the computer? Does the machine create the account when they log on? Does the second box say Novell in it or something about a local account? Dan Daniel Zobel Director of Technology Heyworth CUSD#4 309-473-2250 - Direct # 309-473-2822 - Grade School

One OU and since the buildings are connected by a fiber optic they are in effect one LAN (Just a switch and a fiber optic connecting them). Not even a router in the system other than the ICN router for the internet. Just 2 Novell 10 servers with all the users in one tree, one OU etc. We have been using IPCop for a long time, and are in the process of going to LightSpeed. (Not sure if that has any effect on it.) I also now have a 3rd party vendor working on my network to do the LightSpeed install so he may have changed something he forgot to mention. I think I will but the bullet and do the iPrint update on my HS server and see if that starts the issue at the high school. ALL the users might as well be mad at me.
