I have tried them all although none are as polished as windows media
center. I have several Windows Media Centers running at home and have
tried many different tuner cards. The best cards for picture quality
are the ATI TheaterPro 650 Tuner cards with an ATI HD Video card. The
Hauppauge cards are probably my next favorite. I am planning on getting
one of the Ceton cards in the near future so I can do away with my
digital cable boxes. My Media centers are running the 64bit flavor with
4gb of ram and multiple drives running in raid 0 for performance.

Subject: [tech-geeks] Homemade DVR?

Has anyone set up or experimented with MythTV or SageTV as a DVR?

   MythTV - http://www.mythtv.org/
   SageTV - http://www.sagetv.com/

My wife has been bugging me about getting a DVR, and I just don't want
another monthly charge. =(
