I don't really need anything fancy. What would be great is something that could
be used as we go from room to room to verify everything is on our current
inventory and then input anything that isn't. Web-based would be great, but
something that would fit on a flash drive would also work. :)

We ended up creating our own because we wanted the ability to tag machines to
site->room

Subject: [tech-geeks] Inventory Software

I'm looking for some software to do technology inventory. What I envision is
something that would not only collect data from any Ethernet connected device,
but would also have the ability to input data for other items, i.e., projectors
(that are not network connected), Smart Boards, etc.

I've been looking at Lansweeper which is not terribly expensive (and has a free
version to get started). Any recommendations from the group for other things
you are using?

Thanks,
David
