I really wasn't inferring that it was difficult, just that subs had to have
one and that's why they were allowed in TRS.  It was definitely a lot easier
than getting a teaching certificate.

You have to have a sub certificate in order to sub but they are not hard to
get and you don't have to qualify for a teaching certificate in order to get
a sub certificate.  You do have to hold a 4 year degree - at least you used
to.
