I don't see anything here that requires ACL's. This should be trivial to set up on either Netapp, or another file server. I currently do this on ZFS servers (and I'll only be dragged by my thumbs back into doing it on netapp.) ;-) Not that it was difficult on the netapp, just that you give up so much other functionality. and money. If you'd like, I could share (off list) a step-by-step procedure to do it on solaris 10.
