Yes, but sometimes that's not possible; it depends on the nature of the job. If the job involves cutting off bolts that are set in concrete, for example (so that you can put equipment with a different footprint in the space), you can't take the floor outside to do the cutting... But you can surround the work area with plastic and ventilation, to keep the sparks and grit and fumes contained.


Indeed. I meant to add that but hit the wrong button too quickly, so thanks for pointing that out. I should have added 'to the extent possible'. Sometimes it's just not possible, but for new pipe, it can be prepped outside of the space. For a rework, plastic and ventilation. :)
