How big is your technical staff and your end-user population? If you
start delving deeply in that, you may want to consider an actual
Identity Management system, including self-service.

Subject: [lopsa-tech] LDAP end-user tools

Greetings,

I'd like to permit end users and non-technical administrative staff to
be able to modify certain attributes in LDAP; eg. address, phone
numbers, etc. I'm using Sun Java System Directory Server (6.3) for my
LDAP servers. As an administrator I use a combination of command line,
home grown scripts, phpldapadmin, and Softerra LDAP administrator to
manage the directory. However, none of these tools are well-suited for
non-technical users.

Does anyone have a recommendation for an end-user-friendly web-based
LDAP front-end? Open source preferred.

Thanks!
