That's good. Download the JAWS basic training daisy books from the help and check for updates option in the jaws dialog/window. They will teach you what you need to get started and also make it a habit to look at the built in help in JAWS. There you'll find all keystrokes etc.

Find desktop and tab to ok and press spacebar or enter on the ok button. I have a Humanware Brailliant BI 40 here my self but I have actually not tried it with JAWS yet. I use the Brailliant with my iPhone. But first you need to install the Humanware usb driver and then the JAWS driver. Go to the Humanware website and download the latest Brailliant BI Tool witch includes both the usb and JAWS driver. Install the usb driver first and then connect the display to your notebook. Install the JAWS driver and then restart JAWS. You should now find the device under braille. Open the JAWS window by pressing JAWS key + J, alt+o and move down to Braille. Using your Braillient with Bluetooth and JAWS is a bit more involved though. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Gordon Smith Sent: 8. august 2012 12:45 To: Techno-Chat ... Technology Enthusiasm! Subject: Jaws, Update Hi everybody OK, I have no idea how I did it, but I have now managed to install Jaws and have it working on our NoteBook as a dongle-licensed version. I made one error when I configured it for the first time. I set the default keyboard layout to "Laptop". Although I am using a notebook, it has a full-size keyboard on it, and I don't like the way the Jaws Laptop keyboard layout works. I looked in the Keyboard manager which I thought was the logical place to start, but did not notice any option to change the layout. So, can anybody help me? Also, I have a Humanware Brailliant 40 and would quite like to install it. Once I persuade Windows to accept the drivers, how do I go about doing that? Thank you for any help.
