Hi I think this is where Window-Eyes has the better approach. I've always believed that the best way to interact with a programme or application is toy do as closely as possible what our visually abled friends would do. All this nonsense about virtual cursors, invisible cursors, Jaws cursors just makes no sense at all to me.
I acknowledge though that Jaws has the better responsiveness by a very long way. I frequently get stuttering and stammering wit WE, but not with Jaws.
