Yes, you can open them in DBT, and if there are paragraphs, etc. present, DBT will add the styles automatically. Right, now just to be clear. Buy "Paragraphs", I'm assuming you mean the standard 1 blank line between blocks of text in Word. is that what DBT will interpret as a "Paragraph" style? If you are creating headings in a Word document, do the following: 1. Select the line or lines of text for which there should be a heading. 2. Press alt+h, and then tab twice. Select the level heading you want by tabbing to it and pressing enter. Thank you. I pressed Alt+H but didn't notice anything else pop up. I guess this is one of these occasions where my Apple experience comes into conflict with the Windows one because I always associate the "Alt" key as being the same as the "Command" key on an Apple keyboard like the one I am using at present. I keep forgetting that, under Windows, the general standard is F1 for help. To center text n Word: 1. Select the text you want centered. 2. Press Ctrl+e. Magic, thank you. Tip: If you are tabbing through the ribbons, listen to the accesskeys that JAWS announces. This will help you not have to navigate ribbons so much. Makes sense. Sadly, after this afternoon I will no longer have much access to Jaws as the lady who loaned me the dongle on behalf of "Action For Blind People", (which is a partner now of the Royal National Institute For Blind People), is coming over to collect the dongle. I might just try the "Porr li'll me" trick, see if it works and makes her decide to forget about the dongle and let me keep it. :) No, she won't do that and I really cannot complain. I've had a loan of this dongle for 3 weeks and have used Jaws quite extensively over that time. I still didn't get the verbosity options set right, and I still find it irritating when I keep hearing things like "Windows+M" when I go to the desktop, or "Windows+D", and so on when I use other shortcuts. Now, just one other thing I've noticed. I still don't appear to be able to control the mouse pointer with Jaws. Everything is great with those applications which only require keyboard access. But Jaws does not appear to work well out of the box with, for instance, OTS AV DJ. Ots AV DJ is a broadcasting application which I used to use under Windows and which I hope to be using again very shortly. I'm getting back into radio again and I think we'll be using OTS AV DJ. So I need to start working on that again as well. I seem to remember that there were some scripts developed for OTS AV DJ by Jim Snowbadger. But I object in principle to paying for scripts either for Jaws or for Window-Eyes. Yes, I know that development takes time and effort. I fully accept that developers have to eat as well. But this isn't quite the same, we're only talking about a script, not a full software application. Anyway, it's going to be back to Window-Eyes for OTS AV DJ I think because there just does not seem to be any way to control the mouse pointer with Jaws but maybe if and when I get my own Jaws license, I can start playing with scripts and just maybe I can develop my own scripts for Ots AV DJ 1.90.
