>I ran your code (after commenting out your special

Congratulations! So >what else do you want to hear
from us?

hahaha, well, basically what I said in my last email.
I'm having problems when willing to use \catcodesmusic
pairs, only empty will let my document compile.

I'm also willing to clone the original, but I don't
see how could I make my last staff-line shorter, and
as I can no try tweaking it because of the catcodes
problem, can't do anything to that regard.

Also if you look at the first staff-line, the 6/8
thing appears properly stuck to the left, whilst is
not what you can see within the third staff-line, I
tried with hidebarrule, but didn't work.

I was lucky cose I found within the music archives the
needed code the make the second staff-line end up
without a bar, althought this is more or less
documented as \hidebarrulle.

>I am reminded of Gershwin coming to Ravel for
lessons, >and he showed Ravel some sample compositions
he had >writtten. Whereuopn Ravel remarked: ``perhaps
it is I >whi should take lessons with YOU! ''

hahaha, funny. I'm sending this again as I left it
before I got stuck (a bit more untidy though), and
well, any comments appreciated.
