There are several dvipdf* executables in the MiXTeX distribution, and I don't understand their differences: after typing tex octava: dvipdfmx: wrong, pdf size=6937 bytes dvipdfm: correct, 16972 dvipdft: correct, 16972 dvips + ps2pdf: correct, 6574 pdftex: correct: 12145 Note that the pdf's made by Christian with my MusiXTeX sources for WIMA are correct.
