This is to announce the appearance of the updated PMX tutorial:
http://icking-music-archive.org/software/pmx/pmxccn.pdf . pmxccn.pdf is not a formal manual for PMX, but rather, as the name says, a user-oriented tutorial, describing the use of MusiXteX by means of the preprocessor PMX (which was written and is actively maintained by Don Simons). As all users of MusiXteX must be aware of, version 1.15 - which is now the default - has modernized MusiXteX enormously, and PMX has immediately followed suite with PMX 2.603, while my tutorial had lagged ruefully behind. This is now amended: the new pmxccn 2.6 describes all features of PMX 2.603 . Don Simons has scrupulously proofread this version, so it should be reasonably reliable. Nevertheless: if you find outright errors, unclear or misleading descriptions (or even simple typos), I would be very grateful if you would let me know.
