If I take out all of the hairpins from psproblem.pmx, it makes a good postscript. There are still the same overfull boxes. That suggests to me that the overfull boxes are not the cause of the problem. Some of the hairpins span 2 page breaks, while none do if you go to 1 page/1 system. Maybe that's the root of the problem.
