I think the experience at Carlsbad is completely different from Busta, both are great huge caves! The big difference Busta has is that it is in Mexico so you get the exciting travel in a foreign land feel and then you are no stuck on the tourist trail like you are at Caca. At busta you have the opportunity to crawl, walk, jump rappel, hop and explore to your heart's content. At caca you must walk in an orderly fashion along a predetermined route... Stuff like that... Busta is an easy trip, for me about the same drive time as Carlsbad and the town and the people are wonderful!!!

It made me want to go there and to venture driving to some big caves in Mexico for the first time! In that vein, I'd like to poll the CaveTex-ers here as to their opinion and the merits of Grutas de Palmito versus Carlsbad Caverns, i.e,. size of the rooms, formations, ease of getting there, and the all-around "Wow!" factor, etc. In other words, how do they compare and contrast? I love Carlsbad and visiting there when I was a wee lad of 10 from northern Iowa is what got me hooked on caving and I've been curious if Bustamante warrants a trip. Thanks in advance, (A curious) Mark Alman __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
