In spite of all the upholding and championing of the mechanical paradigm, bludgeoning all to view every life form as a machine, we have not been able to become emotionless. The mechanical view is creating depression and distrust of nature, unseating God, who hitherto was the guiding light of life. We refuse to note, the glaring, staring and clear fact, that we all live emotionally and cannot live mechanically and that not a single emotion can be quantified and that mathematical reduction is impossible in the case of emotions, the basic motivations of life. The main torture of economics is the attempt to remove feeling from seeing, and view everything mechanically and analyze everything including feelings into mechanical components, governed by mathematics and reducing everything into mathematical equation. But just write this small sentence ‘I love you’, using only numerals without using words. Every emotion, feeling and motivation refuses to be regulated, tamed or expressed in mathematics. You cannot quantify a single emotion. The Biosphere emotionally is one organism, where the component organisms interact, on the basis of smelling, sensing and feeling. That very existence of the Biosphere as one organism is now under fatal attack, or the whole of nature is under attack. But we ignore this threat at the foundation, by drowning ourselves in econometrics, and drowning in egoism, as the artificial mathematical presentation is really without meaning, and by deceiving ourselves that the basic meaninglessness is high brow. In the economics of nature, there is symbiosis, and nature grows and prospers in freedom. Every organism, lives as a component of the healthy biosphere. But in the economics dominated by Rene Descartes today, we view all nature as lifeless and emotions less and feelings less items with license to us to contaminate and destroy. The drift of economics into mechanics and mathematics has made us indifferent to the rights of every organism including humans. Economic activity has become the destruction of nature as the day today economic routine. The Universities have to take initiative and substitute by Ecology, actually by Emotional Ecology in the place of economics.We need the symbiotic economics and not the present Social Darwinism.
