Of Course in the south except the modern non- agama temples created by Esha
yoga center like who allow the touch prayer of the idol, lingam etc. In all
the temples, and village temples, women and other villagers worship certain
erected structures, while going pradakshinam , of the arasa mara tree;
there there will be Bali peetam which will look like lingam. However T
Nagar Siva Vishnu temple is known to me for the past 68 years where I used
to go with my grandfather to sengalipuram katha kalakshepam; sat beside
Rajaji who will come and sit down only. and the arasa maram has that shaped
bali peetam and other structures which women will touch and worship. A
video attached where around 3.32 minutes one can see that tree. Thank you
