Mr Rajaram,
Do Civil service permit a person known to you as OLD MAN? Shall we call you
also old man in future?

I don't think such a usage taught in civil service. You have retired from Civil
service well before one and a half decade. Still you consider young?

Give respect and take respect Mr Rajaram.

 In one way the old man started taking the right path. However his past karma
of calling thiruvalluvar Veda vyasa as shudra etc must be also corrected since
in the same chap annexed here as word doc in tamil, Maha periyava quote a lot;
taking something and leaving others is not being brahminic. Also Veda shat
karma is different which is also spoken and a brahmin must do all to qualify as
brahmin. Maha periyava also regrets which shall be noted. Parasara bmrithi only
says  what he wrote as pooja etc which Maha periyava spoke. Following parasara
who was also accused by this man as something else , no one shall forget. But
why his smrithi then?  Of Course doing pooja does not qualify any brahmin title
since all can do that even nandANr. Anyway, some change is better than nothing.
Find attached in Tamil deivathin kural part 2 Vedamum Taminadum; and Tamil is
spoken a lot here which the old man does not like again his past words. I never
say neti but constructive criticism only  . Parasara smrithi santioned is
different. Lets see further. Than k you K Rajaram  IRS   26224

Our most revered late Periyavaal of Kaanchi Kaamakoti Peetam, in Vol. II of his
book "Deivaththin Kural", in the section headed "Vedamum Thamizh Naadum",
described the six obligatory actions (shad-karmam, i.e.varna-dharmam) of us
braahmanas.  These are (1) performing sandhyaa-vandanam after bath, (2)
gaayathree japam, (3) homam (fire-sacrifice, or yajnyam), (4) devathaa
poojanam, (5) soorya-namaskaaram, and (6) vaishvadeva-poojanam.
The daily Shiva (panchaayathana) pooja is one of the prescribed karmams.
After a very long lapse, I was fortunate to perform in full the Shiva
(panchaayathana) pooja yesterday.
Briefly, it consists of archana-abhisheka-shodasha-upachaarana pooja to five
deities.  These deities are Somaskanda Parameshvara Shiva, his divine Consort
Ambika, Lord Ganesha, the Sun, and Lord Mahaa-Vishnu as Purusha.
It requires doing/chanting of the following:-  (1) aachamaneeyam (thrice);  (2)
shuklaam bharatharam vishnum;  (3)  praanaayaamam;   (4)  sankalppam;  (5)
gandhaaravam (ringing of bell with manthram);  (6) kalasha pooja;  (7) varuna
japam;  (8) shankha pooja and japam;  (9) aathma pooja;  (10 seeking
Nandikeshvaran's permission for intended Shiva pooja;  (11) devathaa
snaana-peeta sthaapanam;  (12)  laghu-nyaasa chant;  (13) devathaa
dhyaana-aavahanam:-  (a) mahaa ganapathi,  (b) shiva, (c) ambika,  (d) the Sun,
and
(e) mahaa-vishnu.
(14) pancha-kalasha pooja;  (15) aasanaadi upaachaara pooja of sa-parivaara
saamba-parameshvara;  (16) abhishekam (of 12 to 16 dravyams) to the chants of
rudram, chamakam, purusha sooktham, rudraa sooktham, navagraha sooktham;  (17)
pancha-kalasha theertha abhishekam;  (18) vasthroththareeya dhaaranam;  (19)
gandha-haridraa-kumkuma dhaaranam;  (20) individual archanas to (a) mahaa
ganapathi, (b) shiva, (c) ambika, (d) aadithya (Sun), and (e) mahaa-vishnu;
(21) doops-deepa-neiveidyam;  (22) thaamboola nivedanam;
(23)  hastha prakshaalanam;  (24) paada prakshaalaam;  (25) achamaneeyam;  (26)
karppoora neeranjanam and aachamaneeyam;  (27)  raksha dhaaranam;  (28)
nandikeshvara pooja;  (29) pradakshana-namaskaaram;  (30) chathur-veda
paaraayanam;  (31) aasheervaatham;  (32) nandikeshvara (nirmaalya) pooja;  (33)
brahmaarppanam;  (34)   shanku-theertha sip, sprinkle, distribute to devotees.

That concludes the pooja.
Tomorrow, I shall list the manthrams which the performing kartha needs to chant
during the pooja.
