ONLY THE FARMER. WHY? BECAUSE ALL THE REST WORSHIP HIM. Thus the value of
agriculture and the farmer is highlighted. Then a long write up of
evaluation by the cartoonist looks to me as a laughable stock. In 1971 when
I visited as a rep of Voltas, main contacts were rich landlords who alone
could buy the tractors. In one such village near Melur Madurai, after
(chozhvandan may be also on the opp direction I am not sure) coming out of
the sale, met by a group of farmers of that village; one of them said to me
angrily only corporate spoil the poor by selling tractors which poor cannot
afford; and the price of paddy is fixed only by the rich which price is
hard to sell by the poor farmers. I took them aside in front of a house and
sat on the dias; then asked them, how many farmers are there in
that village? they said there may be (not sure of in a small place) around
50 to 60 families. I asked how many cultivable lands were done by them?
Each owns around 3 to 5 acres and around 200 250 acres are owned by the
village farmers of 60 families. They added that they work for that landlord
also who cultivated 50 to 60 acres. They added now by that tractor for
him, he will make them slaves. Then I asked them their income annually;
they said that on average 20 to 30000 they may make while that one landlord
earns out of their sweat in lakhs. I asked them if there were any problems
with their stay etc; they said they have residences; food from the field
and dress so simple. Then I added that their grievance is only that the
landlord bought a tractor and grows to be well off?; they said while they
live in low style ,whereas the additions make him rich and widen the Gap
(may be a communist also). I asked them if there is any coop-society and do
they use it?; they said they are only debtors there. Then I said suppose
the 60 families form a union and each takes 10000 loan cannot the tractor
be bought? I added suppose they collectively cultivate the 200 acres ,say,
and sell collectively and divide them by 60 will it not be profitable? I
added suppose they lend the tractor service to others ncling the
landlord will it not increase their income? THE FIRST SALVO WAS SHOT; SIR
HE IS A SAANAAR; HOW CAN I MINGLE WITH HIM AS A COLLECTIVE GROUP. THAT I
STHE PROBLEM. COOPERATIVE AGRICULTURE S NEVER PRACTICED FOR HUMPTEEN
REASONS LIKE CASTE ETC. KOODI VAAZHNDAAL KODI NANMAI IS ABSENT THERE . SO
THEY SUFFER. LET THEM DO. tHE LAST FISH AND THE LAST TWIG WILL ARISE ONLY
AFTER THE DEMISE OF THE LAST HUMAN ON EARTH. Emotional dialogues are made

refuse to see. Do we have the taste of responses and appreciations in spite
of our enuring the benefit from others? Never in the nation nor in the
