" The movie just seemed to be an excuse to show scantily clad women fighting things,"
This is entirely the WRONG attitude to go into the movie with. Those who go into it thinking that have typically replied they were "bored" with it. I think the movie may have not been marketed corriectly--it isn't a "popcorn movie"--it is a movie with thought and subtext, which may sound weird but it's true. Personally, I loved it and it is actually one of my favorite movies, but I am the perfect audience for it, tho you would not think so seeing the trailers. I thought it was brilliant and that the people who don't like it don't really get it, or at the very least didn't get what they expected and were thrown by it. Basically you want to look at it as sort of like Girl Interrupted, if Winona Ryder and Angelia Jolie and Brittany Murphy got to do cool stuff and get back at the oppressive patriarchal system that led them to be in an asylum. :-) Holly On Mon, Apr 25, 2011 at 8:52 AM, Jason Service <[email protected]> wrote: > " The movie just seemed to be an excuse to show scantily clad women > fighting things," > > that sentence has so much promise...and the fact that the film still failed > for you...not best. > > On Sat, Apr 23, 2011 at 12:54 AM, Hollister4Mayor < > [email protected]> wrote: > >> To be perfectly honest with you Ed.
