Michael, I wanted to mention this to you the other night on Skype but never got a chance. Before Dragonslayer I read The Death And Life of Superman by Roger Stern (I am currently reading my book queue in alphabetical order by title). After reading the book I am even more excited for you guys to get to Doomsday/Funeral For A Friend/Reign Of The Supermen on FCTC! Really a good book. My only complaint with it was that some of the Reign stuff was a little more summarized than I like -- for instance a lot of the stuff with the Man of Steel -- but overall I thought it was really well written and exciting.
I have heard some pretty good things about Harry Turtledove, I may have to see what of his stuff is at my local used book store.
