I verified your information on my Thinkpads, and it also seems to work on eMachines... but nothing else in an eMachine ever works, including the motherboard and power supply, but also we are still in the middle of testing Sony, Dell, Compaq, and HP... and the feature does not seem to work on any of those... but it is more difficult to find their versions in Windows XP Professional.
