We use Acronis products for everything that comes into our shops. We love it
for the time it save.

The problem with Acronis is that it fails miserably when there are defects,
bad sectors, bad infestations  that went undetected, or basically  when some
aspects of the drive are out of normal, or data is corrupted.

When you have failures with Acronis, it is usually because the hard drive is
going bad, or has serious sector errors.

There are other programs that are not as easily used which work better in
the face of damage or corruption.  Basically, Acronis is your fair weather
friend... but the enemy of good is better.
