Hi all, My T42 is broken. The logic board is not working any more and needs to be replaced. They wanted $500 (!) to fix it... This is way too much than I want to spend, since I have had this computer for six years. Is there a cheaper alternative to fix it? Also, let's say I don't fix it, so the logic board stays the same broken logic board. Is there a way to salvage certain files on the hard drive?
