well ...... since it appears that I have toasted my bios, I probably won't be using -this- 570.
The Plan was to use Ubuntu and whatever its equivalent of Winamp is. Two, it is still not clear to me that the 570, even with an upgraded bios, would 'see' the CF card in the adapter.
