The current talk of ex serv and disks reminded me of something I've been meaning to ask the group--
When I've gotten a replacement disk, it always seems to be a refurb unit, owing to the stickers I've seen. I'm nervous using them--if they were sent back because of a problem, what is the chance that the refurbish process *really* works, as opposed to sending out a disk with a problem? Given how cheap disks are, and how valuable the data is, plus the time for any of us to deal with disk disasters, I've gotten new disks the last couple of times a disk needed to be replaced. Does anyone else do this? --STeve Andre' _______________________________________________ Thinkpad mailing list [email protected] http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad
