I think you can also use a T61 keyboard in the T400. You might even prefer
it.
That said, in your shoes I would just go ahead and clean the keyboard. It
isn't rocket science.

I was going to place an order from the link Andre posted, but just
wanted to check if "Just about new" or "lightly used" keyboard is good
enough? Any of you having experience with these keyboards? I don't see
any other sub $50 keyboard, and none "new" option available to be
shipped from the US. Can you recommend a seller?
I am going to hold the cleaning part of the keyboard for now until I
get the new keyboard (this is the only decent lappy I have for now and
and no experience with cleaning laptop keyboards; thankfully I backed
up everything yesterday night, the first thing after power on...).
