Hello:

<You Said>
I have disabled Bluetooth and WAN Miniport (whatever that
is).

<Reply>

First: Create a System Restore Point?

JIC: Try to actually disable via the bios, i.e. select the mini pci device
above and disable. Then reboot and try your install. As an aside: I was
getting BSOD with a built in wireless resource in my T42. (XP SP2). Any
actions to disable the wireless connectivity via the OS did not help.
Turning off wireless in the BIOS caused the BSOD to go away (and my wireless
capability as well, but that's OK since I did not require it). SYNOPSYS:
Disable at the source when you can. Next Step (if necessary): Remove the
'suspect' devices in OS. Repeat appropriate steps.

Once your new HW is installed properly, 'reenable' devices accordingly.

Subject: [Thinkpad] T43 WXP: Sierra Aircard 860 install problem

System/Hardware reports "This device cannot find enough
free resources that it can use (Code 12). If you want to
use this device, you will need to disable one of the
other devices on this system"

Why is this so and what is the fix?

I have disabled Bluetooth and WAN Miniport (whatever that
is).

Only modem installed is the IBM Integrated 56K modem and
only network adapters are Broadcom NetXtreme Gigibit
Ethernet (my internal LAN connection) and Intel PRO Wireless
2915ABG (my internal wireless connection).

Help please :(
