First Off: Hats off to Stuart's suggestions. Of course all valid, but a bit time consuming. Therefore if you wish to 'waste' approximately 15 - 30 minutes with what follows, then try this first and still have the options that Stuart made available to you.
I have to extrapolate given the feedback here, but I will assume that 1). You disabled the HW in BIOS but did not remove the HW in the device manager? If this is yes, then you would have to re-enable the hw in bios and in this order (preferably in Safe Mode) JIC: Run devmgmt.msc from your Start Button, i.e. run and type: devmgmt.msc (direct access to device management window) 1). Enable your T43 minipci device in BIOS. Continue to boot (Safe Mode preferred). Then run devmgmt.msc as noted above. Remove any device drivers related to your mini pci device (bluetooth/network) 2). Shutdown and Remove all devices pertaining to your T43 minipci device (network card/bluetooth) in BIOS. Continue to boot (Safe mode) and Confirm that they do not show up in the HW list 3). Shutdown and Continue to boot this time in normal mode 4). Confirm (devmgmt.msc) that the T43 mini pci device is indeed not 'installed' (not on any network/bluetooth pull down). If something 'persists' in this Normal mode, then remove the device here (OS) and reboot. 5). Only now insert your Sierra Aircard. See what happens. NOTE: By removing the minipci device you are actually deallocating the resources both in term of the HW (Bios) and SW (OS). At this point (i.e. before physically inserting the Sierra device), you could actually go and confirm the available IRQ's available to your machine via this same window (devmgmt.msc). You could compare what IRQ's (HW addresses, etc) are required (from your Sierra doc) and see if they are available on the list. 6). Assuming success: If you like, at this junction (i.e. next reboot) re-enable the T43 mini pci devices. If your Sierra card installed properly, now the HW manager is tasked with allocating the appropriate resources in reverse, i.e. Sierra won the initial stake to its resource needs, now the OS must deal with how to appropriate the T43 mini pci devices. If this does not work, then consider the following: Ghost/Phantom devices blocking your Sierra Card install. Stuart's feedback on various issues Setting HW resources manually (i.e. disabling the Automatic PCI HW/IRQ allocation mechanism: not for the faint of heart).
