You can't
The only thing that can be done is to install a splitter and a mouse, but it
may still give the error anyway.

Have you tried disabling it in the BIOS? F1 at boot should get you
there.

Subject: [Thinkpad] Disable Trackpoint
Hi.
Is there any way of disabling the track point mouse on a TP 600E.
I have one that doesn't work. I have been using a USB mouse, but every so
often the track point gets caught or nudged and it sends it into a frenzy
and is very hard to get it to stop it.
I am presuming it is broken and not just need calibrating or resetting.
