Hi
I am loving my ThinkPad 240X. It is a 500Mhz P3 and it has 192MB RAM (64MB +
128MB).
I still cannot find confirmation that a 240X can take 320MB (64MB + 256MB). If
it does, it would need to be a low density one. However, these are not cheap
and I dont want to go and by one if it isnt going to work.
I have a good quality 512MB stick here, that I used in a Mac PowerBook - which
are very fussy about RAM.
I popped it in my ThinkPad just out of curiousity. The BIOS registered the
machine as having 256MB, but XP and Mint wouldn't boot. It is a PC133 stick.
Can anyone confirm whether a low density 256MB PC100 stick will work in a 240X?
