Re: Strange T40 video issue Tx for the clues, especially regarding video ram being the likely culprit. Reinstalling the video driver only corrected corruption in the settings and did not fix the issue. I'll run a longer PC doc test, but I'm reasonably certain it's time to shop for a replacement machine. Spare system boards _may_ be available, but they will be old parts also famous for a different graphics chip issue.

Good luck Cheers, George (who made the same mistake of trying to post from his blackberry earlier today) -----Original Message----- From: Laurence <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Tue, Nov 16, 2010 1:24 pm Subject: Re: [Thinkpad] Strange video issue Re: Strange video issue (T40p video issue) Does Memtest detect video ram errors? I've run it for a few hours, no errors (ran from a CD). -- Larry _______________________________________________ Thinkpad mailing list [email protected] http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad _______________________________________________ Thinkpad mailing list [email protected] http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad
