Hello,

How is the keyboard connected to the ThinkPad T43? If you are going through a
USB hub or a PS/2 splitter, does plugging it directly in make any difference?

Also, does the problem occur with other keyboards, or just this one?

Regards,

T43 working fine but now I've started to use ext monitor
and IBM Trackpoint keyboard, much better tactile sense
(just like Selectric kbd for you old-timers) than T43's.

Problem is that much of the time there is a noticeable
delay, say 300 ms, between key operation and response.
As I type this in PMMail it is instantaneous but just
before I was deleting 74 spams in my inbox one by one;
as I clicked the red down arrow, I had to wait said
interval for the icon to change indicating it had
accepted the command. Similar with other programs.

I'd welcome ideas what is going wrong or how to
diagnose further.

There is no background activity during this misoperation.
CPU is running about 8-12 %
