The Unicomp buckling spring keyboards that PCKeyboards sell are excellent to type on but they are loud if you can handle the noise they are probably one of the best keyboards for touch typing. The track point in my opinion is not as good as the one on my ThinkPad but not bad either. What I didn't like at all were the mouse buttons and I am having a hard time describing why. Not smooth, not well placed, they kind of clicked when you used them, I just didn't like them. I had one of the older usb wired ThinkPad keyboards and it was nice. The track point-track-pad was great, but the keyboard was not as good as the one on my laptop and it eventually stopped working. Maybe the new Lenovo unit is better but I don't know about that. I do most of my typing on my T410s because the keyboard and track point are fantastic (I've disabled the track pad). If you try the newer Lenovo offering I would love to hear how you like it. Although this is off topic a bit I have recently added a Logitec M570 track ball to my desktop and love it, of course it's not a track point. Jerome

I am wondering if the trackpoint is comparable in quality to the latest IBM/Lenovo trackpoints or is more of the Dell/Toshiba extraction. Unfortunately PCKeyboards's shipping charges to Europe are outrageous. How are the external Thinkpad keyboards with Trackpoint, like the "Lenovo ThinkPad Black USB Wired Ultimate Compact Keyboard with TrackPoint" (55Y9003) which can be had for about half the price?
