Hi All,

Okay, I'm probably going to get either an X201(s?) or a T410s to replace my
much-loved X301. I haven't decided which just yet--I'd prefer the small size
of the X201 or X201s (yes, I'd have to buy that on the used market), but I
want a touch-screen that I can draw on for when I do web-based meetings
on-line, so the multi-touch on the T410s holds interest for me. (And no, I
don't want the tablet version of the X201--if I want "small", I want *really*
small--but not a brain-dead netbook, so its either the normal X201 or the
multitouch T410s).

BUT...back to the subject: I'd like to re-purpose my 2-yr old X301 for re-use
by another.

It has Win XP installed on it and its rather clunky, in need of a fresh
start--I didn't like or want Vista at the time, but rather like Win 7 now. As
I understand it, there is no "direct" upgrade path from XP to Win 7, so it
seems a clean install of Win 7 would be in order.

My question: Can I get (buy) a version of Win 7 from Lenovo that is specific
to Thinkpads (or in particular, the X301), for a fresh install with all the
current drivers, applets for power management, wireless connectivity, etc.?
(So I don't have to go hunt for all of that from the download matrix!)

If anyone happens to have a link and/or an idea of price, etc. I'd sure
appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!
Randy Whittle
