I realise a used battery is not ideal, but it was cheap, the guy seemed
reasonable and reputable. I have contacted him and he has been helpful.

R31 batteries are expensive and I do not want one from Hong Kong. Also keep
in mind the age of the machine. I dont want to spend more on a battery than
the machine is worth.

I will try the battery recalibration. That might help. I know it isnt going
to make it wonderful, just more of an accurate idea of how long the battery
lasts would be nice.

I used the Battery Maximiser Gauge and it told me original values are 45,
current values are 23. So it is about 60% of its original capacity. Also it
has been charged 285 times, which isnt too bad.

Ive had Mac batteries charged over 600 times and still holding up 70%. So,
cycle count isnt too bad.

Are we edging towards the battery is at fault and not my laptop. The guy has
offered a partial refund but I dont want to rip him off as I didnt pay too
much for it in the first place, although he did tell me it was working fine.
