The usual rule of thumb is that a laptop battery can be expected to last
about 300 (dis)charge cycles or about 3 years, whichever comes first.
So 60% of original capacity and 285 cycles sounds to me like your battery
is getting ready to retire.

Of course, the actual lifetime can be longer or shorter than 300 cycles,
and additionally to that in most use cases we're not talking about actual
clean full (dis)charge cycles, so a single number can't accurately
represent the amount of use.
