My main concerns with getting a X301 now:

1. Current X201's seem to have much more capable cpu's (but I'm happy to be informed otherwise).

2. I'm afraid that the battery will die, and then I won't be able to replace it -- whereas X201 remains much more common.

3. The one in the outlet is 64GB SSD, which isn't as large as I'd like.

Would you still get a X301 even today, given it's discontinued?

I feel the same way - it's right up there with the 600 series.

I love my X301. Never gets hot, just keeps running. If I put my hand
next to the vent I can feel the fan but can't hear it.

The X301's build quality is considered impeccable by many. Mine's a little
tank, reminiscent of the 600 series machines but without the heft
