When I travelled to the UK, I just used the plug adapter. The Thinkpad charger
worked fine. In addition, many of the hotels had US outlets although often just
in the bathroom labelled shaver outlets.

I'll be traveling to the UK next month. Anyone know what I'll need to get
power to my T61p while there? I currently have both the 90w standard AC
adapter and the travel adapter. Will a converter that I can buy at
Brookstone or a store specializing in travel accessories work?
