Can anyone please point me to instructions on correct use of the Ultrabase 3, specifically getting out of it? Lenovo's support site is really completely nonfunctional (I hesitate to use the "s" word) and no amount of googling has coughed up instructions.
I'd like to get actual instructions but my specific question is this. There's a red light illuminated on the left side of the base. I know from experience that if I just remove the computer I'll get error messages. So I found the button next to the light and pressed it, the light blinked a few times and then I got a message that it was safe to undock. Simple enough but now I wonder if anything(s) is disconnected, e.g. the wired network connection or the USB devices plugged in to the base. Is there some way to lock the unit back into the base (not physically, it's attached)? I'm almost done installing applications and moving data to the X220. I hate to think what it would have been like if the "old computer" had had more than 64GB of storage. Buying a new computer is fun but it sure s-words your time!
