I went to bed with the X220 still sitting in the U3, no red light.

This morning, still no red light. Most but not all connections through
the base are dead:

External (USB) keyboard and mouse no longer work
External (USB) DVD drive no longer recognized
External display (DisplayPort) still works as Extended Desktop
Wired Ethernet still works
AC power still connected

Those are all the cables connected to the Ultrabase. After I post
this, I'll remove the notebook and see what happens.
