I've tried two aftermarket batteries from dealextreme.com, both worked
reasonably well but not as well as original equipment.
The problem with those is that they typically use cells of standard
capacity whereas Lenovo typically uses high-capacity (e.g. 2.6Ah) cells.
The other nice thing about dealextreme (as opposed to, say, eBay) is that
they have user comments, so you can see what other buyers' experiences with
the battery is. You might be buying a 6.6Ah battery instead of a 7.8Ah, but
the comments will probably reveal this, and you can make an informed
decision as to whether what you get is worth the monetary savings.
