Really? That's sad -- I've always been able to stuff more memory than what IBM said before. That the chipset limits one to 3G is even more depressing.

You can "stuff" it, but it's not going to boot. I've tried 4+1GB and got no POST, T60p with Rev. 3 motherboard. The most you'll get it to "see" in BIOS is 4GB, but you'll *always* be limited to 3GB of usable RAM regardless of OS used, due to a chipset limitation.
