Really? That's sad -- I've always been able to stuff more memory than
what IBM said before.  That the chipset limits one to 3G is even more
depressing.

I wonder what the chance is that dissimilar sodimms would have a
problem.  Still, if the chipset is hobbled, it wouldn't matter.

The most you'll get it to "see" in BIOS is 4GB, but you'll *always* be limited 
to 3GB of usable RAM regardless of OS used, due to a chipset limitation.
