Not sure if this will help, but I found that I had to login directly
to each account as there was a page that I had to accept to move
forward to my inbox that was causing those negative vibes when trying
to receive email. I as well have not been receiving email for a while,
after checking the Junk mail settings I noticed that for some reason
EVERY message coming into my email accounts on thunderbird were being
automatically sent to the junk folder for the program. Check yours and
see if there are any recent emails there, if there are I suggest just
turning off the Junk mail setting for each account.

I still however am getting negative vibes when trying to send an email
using a hotmail account through thunderbird.
