I live in Greece. There is no free POP and SMTP access. The truth is
that I have found the way to enable it: I declared in my profile that
I live in the UK! But with POP there is another problem: If a mail
have Greek characters in its body, they appear as question marks when
downloaded by Thunderbird... When I open them through the Hotmail site
they are ok. Something is going wrong during POP transfer. The strange
thing is that there is no problem with my old account. When I receive
emails with Greek characters to my old Hotmail account and download
them to Thunderbird using POP, there are fine! There are no question
marks with that account! I have tried to forward an email with Greek
characters to both my accounts using a third gmail account I have.
Then I used Thunderbird to download my mail from both accounts using
POP. The mail received from my old account is fine, the one received
from the new one has question marks! Any ideas?
